Butterfly Day

I got the chance to play a bit today.
How I ended up with butterflies all over the place, I'll never know.
This is all so different from my usual style.

"Flight Pattern"

"Paperbag Butterfly 1"

"Paperbag Butterfly 2"

All 6x6" Mixed Media on canvas.

Sometimes you just need a change of pace. Don't you love doing collage? It could be totally addictive. I like these a lot.

Thanks CJ and Martha.

And yes Martha, I agree, one needs a change of pace. Sort of like the Sherbet between courses LOL.

I wish I could say that I find collage addictive. I find the IDEA of it more addictive than the actual process. I'm ashamed to say it's the kind of thing I always itch to do but once I'm at it, grow tired of by the second hour(I'm afraid I'm very child-like LOL).
I think it's the "prep". If I could just have someone do all the cutting for me...
Maybe I should do hour-long sessions here and there instead of whole afternoon sit-downs.
