Street Art

We had dinner with friends yesterday at Capitol City Brewing Co. next to Union Station in DC. Out front, a street artist had set up a display and was feverishly drawing one jazz/urban caricature after another in pastels.
I, of course, had to go over and talk to the man. I'm always in awe of on-the-go artists who set up on street corners and sidewalks to create and sell their work.

I picked up this cool chick (amazingly, for the last $9 I had left in my wallet!).

She's painted on a scrap of foam board (approx. 6x25"). I love the crude edges, where he ripped it from the rest of the sheet.
