Naughty Bits

Because there's just not enough of me blabbing or posting images throughout the web, I've created yet another blog (quit your groans).

The new blog is called Naughty Bits and I hope many of you will join me there as well.

Naughty Bits Welcome Post:

Dear Readers,

Welcome to "Naughty Bits".
I created this blog to share my new series of Erotic Pop paintings. I have chosen to do so through a separate blog rather than post them on The Gascot Method to give supporters of my Latin Pop work the choice of keeping up with these works or not as I realize that erotic art is not everyone's cup of tea. For those who want to follow both blogs, but might read The Gascot Method from work, you will have the choice to view this series from home rather than have any NSFW imagery interrupt your lunchtime blog-reading. LOL.

Either way, I hope many will follow and enjoy (comments are always welcome). I plan to have a lot of fun with this body of work!

Latin Pop Shop Blog

I debated whether I should start up another blog (this new one makes 3), but decided that Latin Pop Shop should have it's own. While initially I intended to discuss the journey of building and growing the business on here (and still will, certain aspects), I would prefer to keep this blog dedicated to my own art and experiences.

In Latin Pop Shop Blog I will not only discuss the business but feature the artists it represents as well as upcoming promotions and maybe even style and trends as they pertain to our inventory.

Should be fun, be sure to bookmark us!

Moving

Hey all.
We're moving.
I might not be doing much blogging in the next two weeks.
Once the dust settles and I've set up my new studio I will be back.

In the meantime...
Miss me, dammit! LOL.

Falling Behind

How is it that a day or two so easily and quickly become 3 and 4?

Since I began this blog back in June I have at times blogged more than once a day, taking off only the weekends (a habit I'd like to end). I have no idea what happened over the last 4 days or why I didn't blog.

Maybe I just thought everyone needed a mini-break from my ranting and raving.

Well, you're all out of luck. I'M BACK!

My Friends Know Me All Too Well

Purple Trekkie hit me with this bit of wisdom today:

It's not like I've ever linked someone by the wrong name or anything.

Awards or Chain Letters?

Image: Vikki North of The Red Chair Gallery

An interesting discussion/movement is taking place regarding Blog Awards.

When I started blogging I would see these awards and hope that eventually enough folk enjoyed my blog so that one day I might start receiving some of my own.

Then I started to catch on.

I guess the only sort of award I could see having some merit at this point would be something that would be given by a larger entity (an artist site or a gay life site for example or something pertaining to what one’s blog might be about) and the award should not be something one is required to pass on.

I have to agree with my blog-friend Martha Marshall, I think our blogrolls speak for themselves.

Self-indulgent Bastid!

So I guess something...anything, needs to be written and posted to get the blog ball rollin', right?
It seems a bit ironic that I don't really know what to say, when the whole point of me starting this blog is that generally I have almost-too-much to say about pretty much anything.

The whole idea of writing a blog was suggested to me by friends who have been subjected to my rantings and ravings on other sites. At first I was hesitant. I thought publishing a blog would seem so self-indulgent. Then I said "Fuck it! Why not???" (I must also warn you with this very first post that I can be quite potty-mouthed), Those who already know me are very familiar with my "colorful" language and I can picture every single one of them rolling their eyes as they read this disclaimer. QUIT IT!!!

Once I started thinking about the possibilities of reaching new audiences for my artwork by way of blogging, I grew more and more enamored with the idea. This blog will allow me to share my creative process, letting readers and collectors, hopefully, connect with my work in a way they hadn't before. It will also give me an excuse to bitch, moan and praise on some trivial stuff.

Wow...this blogging stuff really is pretty self-indulgent.

Ah well, enjoy!
