Too Tired To Post

Still recovering from an AMAZING weekend filled with reunions. Much partying and dancing took place. I'm thankful for no longer feeling hungover, but still too exhausted to come up with anything clever to post, so as I plan out the week ahead in the studio I will just post this picture of me en route to deliver the painting I completed last week. I really hated to see it go so soon (but thrilled to be selling) and will be doing more like it.

Happy Monday

Tristyen (Mr. T) and I are revolutionizing the modeling industry.
Forget the couture hunch, that is soooo last year! It's all about the nose pick now. Werk!

Zu-wa! Zu-wa!

The sun is shining on the wet grass and the warm breeze reminds me that summer is on its way.

I just want to hear a good beat.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Random Thoughts About The Grammys

Here are some random thoughts I jotted down during last night's telecast:

-'RETHA's Tribute. WAY Too long. Xtina with the different color mic stand. Really?? Get off it already, chubby.

Has Jen Hudson been sending her all the food she stopped eating or what??

Florence was the best part of this tribute.

And how about cutting that shit a bit and giving Lady T deserved respect instead of a half-sec shot in the middle during the In Memoriam...and not even give her the fuckin screen to herself. That was some serious bullshit.

-Ricky Martin...first wtf was up with those pants??? Secondly, yes you're gay YAY! Just 'cause you finally came out you don't now have to do EVERYTHING that's gay.

-Gaga...fuck it Gaga, kill 'em if they hate you. Just kill them all. Love the song and the performance was fun. I don't care if it sounds like Express Yourself (I honestly don't hear it that much) or Itsy Bitsy Spider, so the fuck what. Lavaux sounds like Automatic, Fergalicious sounds like Supersonic, Strong Enough sounds like I Will Survive and... blahblah

-Janelle Monae, I LOVE YOU!!!

-Justin Bieber and Ben (Usher) Vereen, I hate u both. THANK GAWD I'd accumulated enough on my dvr to skip both your asses.

-Bob Dylan and 28 Hillbillies...I wanted to kill myself 30 seconds into that whole thing. Holy shit, you couldn't understand this dude before. Was that just static coming out his mouth??

-Why does Lady Antebellum always make me think of a fab hag going out with her two favorite gays? She is too cute.

-Ceelo KA-MF-KAWWWWWWWW! Best of the night. And Gwenneth's shoes!!!

I enjoyed the show, overall, but I felt like I hardly saw folk going up to get awards. Exactly how many had been awarded beforehand? Wow.

I read something about some reporter having a stroke at the Grammys.

I blame this:

I thought I was having a stroke too but it just turned out to be bad fashion.

Dream

This morning I woke from a wonderful dream.
Somewhat odd, but wonderful.

I was in high school, or at least a high school setting, since I was already physically an adult. During class, I got the news that I'd been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award. An incredible rush ran through me as I walked the packed hallways, trying to keep composure about me, on my way to lunch.
In the cafeteria, which was vast and modern and very little like my old high school's cafeteria, I sat with friends. Among these friends was Tim, who in real life I didn't meet until 3 or so years after I'd graduated. I had an i Phone, on which I kept checking the news to ensure my nomination had actually occurred.

There was a bridge, not the type that allows one to walk over a body of water, but the type that connects two wings of a building over an atrium, on one side of the cafeteria. From the far end of the bridge I saw her coming and I sprung from my chair. My mother!
As she approached, my grandmother, wearing a black and white brocade coat, walked through the scene. She seemed to be headed towards my mother, but walked on past her instead.

Soon, my mother stood before me, looking her most beautiful.
She had received news of my nomination and rushed from work to see me. We walked over to a table and as she sat she said, "I wouldn't be surprised if someone's proud mother has to accompany her son on stage to accept an award."

Random Thoughts on Gay Childhood

Yes, it's a wig!

When I was a child, before I knew the meaning of the word "gay" I struggled with whether I wanted to marry Lynda Carter or BE Lynda Carter.

I also wanted a Barbie but had to make due with Princess Leah, who was like 3 inches tall, had impenetrable helmet hair and who's arms and legs did not bend.

Random Bitchy Wisdoms

"Chanel" earrings and sunglasses when you pull up next to me at the traffic light in a busted up dodge missing a hubcap and the hood is a different color than the rest of the car.

I'm not fooled.

A Random Fashion Rant:

A 45+ year old woman, no matter how fabulous her body is, in a too-tight velour track suit in hot pink (with something inevitably written across her ass!) from the Jr's department looks desperate (not necessarily to get laid, but definitely to hold on to her youth).
No two ways about it.
That said, if she's comfortable with that look, more power to her. She has the right to wear it and I have a right to voice my obnoxious opinions on it.

Random Thought

Sweaters tied around someone's shoulders just piss me off!
I don't know why, it just does.

No one really believes that you just tied it around there to have around on the off-chance you might get cold.

Just wear it or leave it home!

Only my upper body feels cold.

Doofus!

In a Word...Not Two:

Off to hang the show! I was supposed to do it yesterday, but the battery in our car died and half the day was gone before we were able to get a new one in. Ron got to take the rest of the day off and it turned out to be a lovely and relaxed day. Well-worth the morning inconvenience and the 90-something dollars.
