A whole week of blogging somehow got away from me. Outdoor projects and getting the house ready for weekend guests have kept me out of the studio but I'm eager to get back to painting after the holiday. For those of you collecting your paychecks (aka direct deposit LOL) and partying the weekend away with friends and family, I dedicate this song from back in the day. The synths (especially at the beginning) are dated, but I'd be a liar to say this song doesn't still get me moving.
Still recovering from an AMAZING weekend filled with reunions. Much partying and dancing took place. I'm thankful for no longer feeling hungover, but still too exhausted to come up with anything clever to post, so as I plan out the week ahead in the studio I will just post this picture of me en route to deliver the painting I completed last week. I really hated to see it go so soon (but thrilled to be selling) and will be doing more like it.
Today, I'm off to the Jersey shore for my 20-year high school reunion. During our stay I will not only reunite with my former classmates but with dear friends I made just after school whom I have not seen in over a decade.
Just in time for delivery this weekend, I've completed the second of my two-painting commission. This one will go on to become a logo for the cabaret club it will call home. I was a bit stressed, wondering whether I would get it done in time, but it turned out one of my favorite pieces in a long time. I'm quite pleased.
Just completed the first of two commissioned pieces (both for the same client) . I will spend most of this week finishing the second piece and will deliver both on the weekend.
Tristyen (Mr. T) and I are revolutionizing the modeling industry. Forget the couture hunch, that is soooo last year! It's all about the nose pick now. Werk!
Mimi Imfurst caught a lot of heat for her now infamous attempt to "lipsynch for her life" on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 3, but she's doing quite fiercely for herself, along with group-mates JC Cassis and Rony Goffer. The three make up Xelle, a campy and welcome twist on girl groups. Their first single "Party Girl" is unapologetically uncomplicated, fun and infectious.
Mom, You were fantastic and fierce; unique and unforgettable. In your love and embrace I felt like nothing could harm me. You are so much a part of who I am today. You are present in everything I do.
A happy MOTHER'S DAY to all of the fabulous mommies out there!
I can't get enough of Kelis' album "Fleshtone". We have played it on an almost daily basis since we got it and don't suspect we'll slow down anytime soon.
