Coming Soon: Gascot Jewelry

More than a few years back, when we co-owned and ran a gallery in Northeast PA, I made art pins and pendants by mounting painted canvas and canvas paper to pieces of wood of various shapes and sizes. They were somewhat crude, but I suppose this was part of their charm and they sold consistently.
For a long long time I've been meaning to produce some form of wearable art again and kept putting it off.

No time like the present, I suppose.

New supplies began arriving yesterday. Next to them are some leftover "cruder" pins and pendants leftover from about 7 years ago.

I have some very clear ideas for what I want my new pieces to look like. If they translate as I picture them, they will be a lot chic-er than my old ones and combine abstract and Pop elements. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, check out Martha Marshall's art pendants. I'm currently in love with these (and yes, they are one of the things that motivated my procrastinating butt). They're just beautiful.
